How long the block gets

The phrase is 22 characters. One copy per line means one line break between copies, so the total is 22 times the count, plus one for each break.

Joining the copies with spaces instead of line breaks gives the same totals. A space and a line break both cost one character.

Where 2,299 characters is already too many

This phrase is long enough that the 100-copy block breaks things the short phrases do not.

• A Discord message stops at 2,000 characters. Exactly 87 copies land on 2,000 on the nose, so the wall above is 13 copies too long for one message. The 88th copy is what pushes it over.
• A post on X allows 280 characters on a free account. That is 12 copies, and 13 copies at 298 characters is over.
• A text message holds 160 characters before it splits. At 2,299 characters the block goes out as about 16 linked segments, and your carrier bills it that way.

Putting the emoji in

The block on this page is plain text. No emoji is baked in, because the one you want is not the one the next person wants. Type your phrase and emoji together into the box, then rebuild, and every copy carries it.

Emoji are not free, though. A single emoji anywhere in a text message forces the whole message off the 7-bit alphabet, and the per-segment capacity drops from 153 characters to 67. A block this size goes from about 16 segments to 35 without a word being added. X also counts most emoji as two characters, not one, so the 12 copies that fit a post drop further once you decorate each line.

Shorter ways to say it

Drop the two extra words and the arithmetic changes: i miss you at 100 copies is 1,099 characters, which does fit in one Discord message. miss you is shorter still.
