What 100 copies weighs

The phrase is nine characters and the copies are joined with one space, so a run of any count comes to ten times the count minus one. That is 999 characters at 100 copies, 9,999 at 1,000 and 99,999 at 10,000. Every block stops one character short of a round number.

Where people use it

Two things to check first

Automated moderation is good at repeated identical text, and the more copies you send the more likely it is that the message is held or the account is rate-limited. Send 100 rather than 10,000 if the account matters to you.

The block is one long line, not one copy per line. Anything that wraps text will reflow it to the width of the window, so it looks different on a phone than it does on a desktop. If you want a column, paste it into a text editor and swap each space for a line break.
