Word, Repeated
The block above is word, repeated one hundred times and separated by single spaces. Swap in whatever word you actually need using the box below it, and every count on the page rebuilds from what you typed.
Repeat it 100, 1000 or 10,000 times
100 copies — 499 characters.
What 100 copies of a four-letter word comes to
The seed is four characters and the copies are joined with single spaces, so the block above runs to 499 characters: 100 copies at four characters each, plus the 99 spaces between them. A thousand copies is 4,999 characters and ten thousand is 49,999. Those are the numbers the copy button hands to whatever you paste into.
Here, copies and word count are the same number
Because the seed is a single word with no space inside it, every copy adds exactly one word. One hundred copies is one hundred words, and any word counter will agree. If you are padding towards a target, 500 copies gives you 500 words and 2,499 characters. That only holds while the seed stays one word. Put a phrase in the box and the two numbers separate immediately.
How many copies each box will take
| Where | Limit | Copies of “word” that fit |
|---|---|---|
| One plain text message | 160 characters | 32, at 159 characters |
| A post on X | 280 characters | 56 |
| One Discord message | 2,000 characters | 400 |
| An Instagram caption | 2,200 characters | 440 |
The 100-copy block clears all four with room to spare. The 1,000-copy block clears none of them. That is what the .txt download is for: past a few thousand characters you are moving a file, not sending a message.
Put your own word in
Most people who land here do not want the literal word “word” a hundred times. They want their own. Type it into the box and press a count. The character total under it updates as you type, so you can watch the moment the block outgrows the limit you are aiming at. If you would rather take something already built, hello and text are the same four-and-five character shape, and the repeat index lists every phrase on the site.
