Baba, Repeated
One hundred copies of baba, ready to select and paste. The box below rebuilds the block at 1000 or 10000 copies, and the download button writes the same characters to a text file.
Repeat it 100, 1000 or 10,000 times
100 copies — 499 characters.
Which baba the reader hears
The word lands differently depending on who opens the message. In Turkish, Persian and Arabic, baba is father. In Hindi and Urdu it is a respectful address for an elder or a holy man. Across the Slavic languages, baba is grandmother or old woman. A block of a hundred reads as a chant to dad or a chant to grandma, and the sender does not get to pick which.
Character count at each size
| Copies | Characters |
|---|---|
| 100 | 499 |
| 1,000 | 4,999 |
| 10,000 | 49,999 |
Four letters is about as short as a repeated phrase gets, so these counts match text repeated and suki repeated character for character.
Spaced, or run together
With single spaces the block is 499 characters and reads as a hundred separate words. With no separator at all it is a flat 400-character run, bababababa and on, which reads as one long noise instead. A chant effect usually wants the second version; anything meant to be read wants the first.
Where it fits
- Discord caps a message at 2,000 characters: 100 copies fit in one, 1,000 copies need three.
- An X post holds 280 characters, which is 56 copies.
- As an SMS, the 100-copy block splits into four parts of 153 characters.
Other short words are on the repeat text hub, and the generic single-word case is word repeated.
